A day of bringing together the various elements that until now have been growing individually. There is something apocolyptic about the images that emerge. That is not my intention. The spaces in the print are curious. I will keep playing and feeling my way in the dark to chase that sense of wonder that I feel. The dark needs to feel warm, embracing, a safe place to grow and explore and meet wonderful beings that we share this world with. It strikes me that when I visit a human neighbours house it can feel as though I am going through a portal into a different reality. Indeed I am. Their world looks, feels and smells different from mine. We value different things. We collect different objects around us and we spend our days differently, immersed in different endeavours. No wonder then that when I visit my mysterious non-human neighbours there is another threshold to cross into their world. Here the earth provides warmth and comfort, the dark a friend. There are criss crossing pathways, that tell of a thoroughfare of creatures going about their businesses unheard, unseen and unknown by the humans.
