The concentration is tiring. We are all excited by the work that is emerging from the studios. There are two more presentations to go but I have to find a quiet corner to give my presentation to the Multispecies Architecture Symposium. I am so tired that feel as though I am moving under the sea in a vintage diving suit with a big metal sphere over my head. I print out my notes and join the online event. There are two speakers before me. both are fascinating and erudite. My presentation is akin to a high school talk on the history of bees in contrast. I receive supportive and welcome endorsements from a couple of participants. Frances who sits next to me in the studio sends a lovely message in the chat. I feel a little better. Next time I pitch to do a similar talk, it will have to be the main activity of the day. It would be better to have and hour or two reading through notes and highlighting key points in advance. The MS disruption to my cognitive processing speed demands calm, space and time in order to be able to think and speak at the same time. I am not well practiced at slowing down and taking care &#8211; unless I am making something. Some of the ability to slow down and focus is dependent on the environment I am in.
